I am an assistant Professor of Biomechanics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Free University of Brussels) at the Faculty of Physical Education & Physiotherapy. I am a member of the MOVE research group at VUB and Director of the Brussels Neuromuscular Biomechanics Laboratory.
I am also affiliated with the Functional Morphology Laborstory at the University of Antwerp.
My expertise is in:
- Muscle mechanics
- Movement biomechanics
- Sports biomechanics
- Medical imaging for muscle (ultrasound, MRI, DTI, ...)
- Electromyography (surface EMG, HDsEMG, fine-wire EMG)
- Electrical stimulations (surface nerve + muscle, intramuscular)
