Expertise
Kevin Smets is associate professor in media and culture at the Department of Communication Studies. He teaches Film History and has published widely on media culture and migration, with a specific interest in Turkey. He is co-director of the research group Echo: Media, Culture & Politics. Currently he coordinates the project Reel Borders, funded by a ERC Starting Grant.
