Wouter Cools (PhD) currently works at the department of Teacher Education (IDLO) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Brussels) as an assistant professor and as a lecturer in Physical Education & Recreational Sports Education at Artevelde University College Ghent. Prof Cools's research focuses on Physical Education, Sports and Movement Sciences. The main topics of his research involve Primary and Secondary School PE, Methods (PCK) in PE, (PE) Teacher Education, Physical Activity, Fundamental Movement/Motor Skill Development, Integration of PA to support and improve learning in general subjects, professional development of teacher educators and contextual use of ICT in PE. His most recent publication is 'Teacher educators developing professional roles: frictions between current and optimal practices.'
