Biomechanische en fysiologische aspecten van electrisch aangedreven fietsen.

Projectdetails

!!Description

The purpose of this study is to examine the technical, physiological and bio-mechanical aspects of an electrical assisted bicycle, and to measure the impact of this electrically assisted bicycle on some physiological parameters such as the maximal oxygen consumption, submaximal oxygen consumption and power output, in order to derive criteria of benefit connected with the use of power assisted bicycles in different population age categories. In order to quantify the mechanical power assisted bicycles in different population age categories. In order to quantify the mechanical power of the cyclist, accurate measuremetn of the torque exerted by the cyclist on the pedal crank is a necessty. Additionally, as the spatial orientation of the pedal force affects the magnitude of the propulsive force component on the crank and hence the contributing torqe, three-dimensional measurement of the pedal forces will provide valuable information on the efficeincy of the cycling movement. Furthermore, training and exercise programmes might be suggested.
