Projectdetails
!!Description
This project is focused on tar decomposition from gasification gas with two novel catalytic processes: catalytic filter and monolith catalyst. Special attention is paid for small scale gasification processes aiming at power production by engines or licroturbines. the major objectives in this project are to: 1. Develop and test nickel-activated filter substrate in order to develop a combined process for dust removal and tar decomposition. 2. Determine the long-term stability of a nickel monolith catalyst in real gasification gas in order to define the life of this promising catalyst. 3. Determine the performance of nickel monolith catalyst, catalytic filter and fluid-bed dolomite catalyst combined to fluidised-bed gasifier. 4. Develop and test in pilot-scale an optimised complete gas cleaning train connected to a novel fied-bed gasifier. 5. Define the technical and economic feasibility of a small-scale gasification-gas engine process with optimised gas cleaning systems.
