Towards a sustainable European private international law? Sustainability of an in European private international law.
The CRC is intended to lay the groundwork for a fundamental analysis of the concept of sustainability in the field of European private international law.
Although legal science is showing increasing interest in sustainability, there is a clear need for a fundamental analysis of the concept of sustainability within the legal domain. Specifically within the sphere of European private international law, a field of law that is viewed as having common traits and resting on shared societal values and legal concepts, there exists a pressing need to extend the existing research with such a fundamental analysis.
That is precisely the scientific endeavour we propose to embark on through this CRC.
