Study and applications of luminescent materials for detection of ionizing radiation and emissive displays.

We want to focus our attention on advanced applications such as display devices, imaging instruments for nuclear medicine and detectors for subatomic particel in basic research. Secondly, we also intend to study lifht producing mechnaisms and all the related phenomena, such as charge transport, trapping, energy transfer, energy loss, radiative and nonradiative recombination in those selected materials that can be used in applications that we target under this project.
