The merger of two pancreatic cancer research teams will
enhance resource sharing, combine expertise, and accelerate
research progress. By building on existing collaborations, the
joint team will produce new lines of enquiry, streamline the
exchange of patient samples, reduce administrative burdens,
and promote shared use of high-end infrastructure. This
partnership will allow for joint fundamental research, joint
clinical trials, foster innovation through the exchange of ideas,
and avoid duplication of efforts. Additionally, the larger team
will have increased influence in securing grants and funding,
ultimately advancing pancreatic cancer research and improving
patient outcomes.
