In this paper the full displacement field, developed during a blast load on aluminium plates, is captured by two high-speed cameras in a stereoscopic set up. The displacement field is identified with the digital image correlation technique. The identified displacement fields are compared by data computed with the finite element method. A good agreement has been found between both experimental and numerical data.
