Beyond solipsism: A thin line between objectivity and inter-subjectivity.

Samenvatting

In this paper we analyse the main critique of radical constructivism regarding the myth of absolutism from a phenomenological perspective. The approach adopted for this paper is a philosophical analysis of the work of von Glasersfeld from a phenomenological point of view. We therefore analysed the later work of Husserl to discuss the notion of objectivity and the radical constructivist notion of inter-subjectivity. The paper resulted in a clear statement on the difference between objectivity and inter-subjectivity. The philosophical discussion on the concepts of objectivity and the radical constructivist notion of inter-subjectivity are identified as differences in ontological claims.
