Samenvatting
D1.1 ‘UCD Methodology and planning’ describes the user-centred design approach and living lab methodology applied in the TRANSMIXR project. It also provides detailed information on the planning for the user evaluation activities. This deliverable is related to different work packages (WP1, WP5 and WP6). It outlines the iterative research activities and planning (involving end-users, professionals, other relevant stakeholders) for the different project phases, from pre-pilot activities (user and technical requirements analysis and use case design), over pilot activities, and post- pilot validation activities.
The main focus of this deliverable is to describe the overall methodological approach and the dedicated pre-pilot activities. This includes the user requirements analysis, use case design and an additional technical pre-pilot activity, “pilot 0”. The concrete pilot planning and methodologies will be reported in deliverable D5.1, together with the pilot evaluation.
First, the deliverable discusses the overarching living lab framework and provides a detailed overview of the applied methods per research activity. Second, we describe the pre-pilot activities (user requirements analysis). Third, the TRANSMIXR pilots are explained. Finally, we define specific evaluation criteria and parameters (success factors) per research activity, risks, and mitigation strategies. A business model oriented professional user testing layer will be added as a new component to the living lab framework (T. 5.4). This will contribute to the transferability of TRANSMIXR across different sectors and application domains, such as tourism, health, education, etc.
