Samenvatting
Simulations of the current density distribution have been performed for the continuous anodizing and electrocoloring process of Coil NV. The main aim of the modeling is to increase the insight in the local process conditions, like current density and overpotenial and the influence of both processes on each other. Based on these insights the process will be modified to extend the range of colors that can be produced. To provide the necessary input data, detailed lab experiments of both the anodizing and the electrocoloring process have been carried out. Based on these measurements, calculations for different configurations will be presented, together with a comparison of relevant macroscopic parameters of the actual production line.
