Samenvatting

We investigate experimentally and theoretically the response of dual-wavelength laser to single optical injection and focus on cross-coupling effect. We highlight a major influence of the coupling and power balance on the injection locking range.

To conclude, it appears that when the suppressed mode of a DWL is subject to optical injection, locking will be more difficult to achieve, as it occurs in a narrower detuning range, if the mode is strongly suppressed. On the opposite, having a good power balance between the two wavelengths apparently leads to the largest locking range.
