Samenvatting
A recently concluded research project called Measuring and Modelling Urban Dynamics (MAMUD), funded by Belspo, investigated how high and moderate resolution satellite imagery can be used for mapping and modeling urban growth and its impact on the hydrology of the urban and suburban environment. In this paper, some of the research methods and major findings of this project are briefly discussed with a focus on work that was carried out on the Greater Dublin Area in Ireland.
