Samenvatting

This document reports a six days' visit to the UNIFIL camps in south Lebanon. During this period a study was conducted on the structure and the management of the sites and the material solutions used for accommodation, offices and logistical functions. The emphasis of the study is laid on the temporality of such humanitarian missions and how it is been anticipated, both at the level of the compound as at the level of the constructions. In this context a visit to the following UNIFIL camps was paid:

UNIFIL HQ Al Naqoura (Multi-national headquarters of UNIFIL)
Sector East HQ (Spanish head camp and headquarters of the east UNIFIL zone, UN position 7-2)
BELUBATT Camp (Belgian-Luxembourg compound, UN position 6-5)
NEPBATT Camp (Nepalese head camp, UN position 8-30)
ROKBATT Camp (South Korean head camp, UN position 2-5)
QATAR Duty Force Camp (Qatari compound, UN position 2-45a)
