Muscle weakness and muscle fatigue in older patients.

This lecture provides an overview of our recent findings concerning muscle weakness and muscle fatigue in elderly patients according to different clinical settings and inflammation. In fact, muscle fatigue is a well-known problem in elderly patients but, however, largely understudied at this moment. The new assessment method that we have developed for measuring muscle fatigue resistance in elderly patients allows for a more direct approach to fatigue symptoms at higher age, which are strongly linked to sarcopenia & frailty.
