Samenvatting

The apprehension and the insight into the clinical picture are by
far the most convincing arguments on which a paediatrician
bases himself to consider the minor as emancipated.
? Additionally, making a choice and the kind of it and the
motivation of this choice is taken into consideration. Age in
itself is a little decisive element.
? To make this assessment, the pediatricians generally rely on
their own experience and expertise, although previously drawn
up procedures and communication about it should give more
legal certainty to the minor patient.
