Récupération d'une source, connexion et dépendance: A propos de la résomptivité de PREPquoi et de quelques configurations similaires

The study examines three similar configurations in Modern French: [PREDICATION 1 – PREPquoi PREDICATION 2], [PREDICATION 1 – cePREPquoi PREDICATION 2] and [PREDICATION 1 – PREPcela PREDICATION 2].
Its objective is to provide answers to the following two questions: (a) how is the resumptive anaphora triggered in the three configurations mentioned above?; (b) do the intermediate resumptive sequences generate a simple juxtaposition, a connective or even a subordinate relation between the two predications?
The answers to these two questions will enable us to assess the relationship between the resumptive function of these intermediate sequences and their value as a connective device linking two predications. In this way this study aims to contribute to the exploration of the relationship between anaphora and syndetic links.
