Technological development around capturing, processing, storing and correlating data has produced new ways of monitoring. From surveillance cameras and algorithmic operations in digital technologies to the use of chips and drones, the web of surveillance has spread, becoming not only feared, but also trivialized, naturalized, and often desired. This edited volume is divided into four parts: "Governmentality and neoliberalism", which discusses the implications in the public sphere of the use of data obtained by surveillance machines; "Culture of Surveillance", in which the articles focus on the effects of hyper exposure of the self on social media; "(In) visibilities," with the use of drones as the main theme and an also a reflection on the forensic dimension of architecture; and "Technoresistences," which brings together cases in which new technologies are subverted into other purposes, such as tools for social movements.
