Onderzoeksoutput: ChapterResearchpeer review

Samenvatting

This chapter studies how DAOs have emerged within the public sphere. It specifically studies the potential of DAOs to address some of the weaknesses of public institutions and administrations, demonstrating how DAOs could support their functioning. However, DAOs face some issues and challenges in complementing the functioning of public institutions and administrations, and as such are currently more limited in scope and scale. Some interesting first ventures have already emerged and provide a pathway to further developments. The chapter ends with some concluding remarks.
