Samenvatting
Could the political-diplomatic history of the Kingdom of Naples benefit from the methodological and epistemological innovations of the New Diplomatic History (NDH)? If so, in which way? Considering which geographies, sources, and protagonists? This essay will attempt to answer these questions by examining the relationships between the kingdom of Naples and of England from the 1460s to the 1480s and the role of Flanders as a commercial and diplomatic centre in these relationships during the second half of the 15th century. It will focus on the activities of some Neapolitan and Florentine merchants between Bruges, and London and their professional, family and friendship networks at the service of Naples.
