Samenvatting
Literature continues to hold a prime position in contemporary society amongst fields characterized by strong heritage meaning. If we are indeed knowledgeable about literature of the past and value it, this is in large part because it has undergone numerous processes of patrimonialisation that lend it specific value and functions. The means by which literature becomes heritage rely on a variety of articulations between the establishment of historical knowledge and the particular affectivity elicited by a past made present, available and legitimate. One of the main objectives of this issue is to identify the main thrusts of this multifold process and thus to contribute to the dialogue and convergence of research in fields that have long remained relatively hermetic, because of the diversity of types of discourse, media and institutions that render literature and its authors “cultural beings” deemed valuable as heritage.
